As daylight savings looms, we reflect on an action-packed September. Our highlight was the Blackmore’s Sydney Running Festival in which our 21 team members participated in the 3.5km, 10km, 21km and 42km events. With your support, we have raised $2287 for the mighty Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia, allowing us to assist women to have life-changing obstetric fistula surgery. Thank you for your donations and participation. You’ve helped make a real difference to the lives of these women.
Because we love to run, we’re next gearing up for the Ultra-Trail in 2020. Our General Manager, Matt, loves a long-distance challenge, and next year he’s moving up from his traditional 50kms to the 100km event. Go Matt!
Meanwhile, in the clinic, Term 3 has finished and we’re looking forward to the launch of Term 4 on Monday 14 Oct. This will be a ten-week term and includes a variety of classes with something to suit everyone. Consistency is key, let’s keep up the good work in Term 4!
Other exciting news is that our course, The Pregnant Pelvis, will be going international next year! This course regularly tours Australia and in 2020, in addition to local destinations, will also be held in the Netherlands (Rotterdam) and Belgium (Antwerp)! Learn more about this course here.
October’s article comes from pelvic physio Kathy Jennings and discusses the causes, symptoms and management of pelvic pain in children. Affecting children as young as 6, we’re looking to create more awareness about these issues which are so often misunderstood.
Yours in health,
