Turn Your Roller Around!

We use the foam roller for many things at AJ Physio, from release work to stability training. This month we would like you to try positioning your roller under your pelvis vs along your spine. This position reduces back and abdominal tension (great for people who are overactive), and unloads the pelvic floor and pelvic organs. Try single leg extensions, bicycle legs, frog legs and progress to double leg extensions. Remember use your deep core and exhale with extension

Charity Run

Supporting Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia

We took part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2016 to raise much needed funds for the charity Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia, which is working towards the eradication of obstetric fistula from Ethiopia. This is a cause we feel very strongly about given the women’s health services we provide at AJ Physio - we believe all women should have access to good obstetric care. With the assistance of our wonderful patients we raised a total $3203.95, enough to pay for 5.5 fistula surgeries. For those who contributed – THANK YOU, your donations will be life changing!
